1990 - MUÉVETE PANAMÁ
Una movilización artístico - social contra la intervención armada de los Estados Unidos en la República de Panamá la que dejó más de 5000 panameños asesinados y "desaparecidos" y miles y miles de personas sin hogar. El objetivo como siempre fue defender y reestablecer las democracia para disimular la devolución del Canal de Panamá a sus legítimos dueños, el pueblo panameño. El evento fe realizado en dos etapas. La primera se llevó a cabo el 23 de Febrero del 1990 en la Plaza Libertad de Montevideo y consisitió en plantar banderas panameñas (aprox. 2000) y lugares aldeaños. La novedad de este acto patrocinado por el "Comité Uruguayo de Solidaridad con el Pueblo Panameño" contó entre otros con la participación de artistas y personalidades de gran prestigio como Eduardo Galeano, Mario Benedetti, Atahualpa del Cioppo, etc. La segunda etapa fue realizada el 1° de Abril frente a la feria dominical en la calle "Tristán Narvaja", punto de reunión de un gran número de personas y se realizó la pintada de dos murales frente a la Biblioteca Nacional y a la Universidad de la República aludiendo a la tragedia del pueblo hermano.
1990 - Get Moving Panama
A social-artistic mobilization against the North American intervention in the Republic of Panama which left more than 5000 Panamanians assasinated and "disappeared" and thousands and thousands of people homeless. The objetive, as always, was to defend and reestablish democracy; to avoid the devolution of the Panama Channel to its legitime owners, the Panamanians people. The event was realized in two stages. The first was carried out on the 23th February, 1990, in Liberty Place, Montevideo and consisted of hanging Panamanian flags (aprox. 2000) in the Place and hand-outs for the passers-by. The novelty of this act, called by the "Comite Uruguayo de Solidaridad con el Pueblo Panameño" to which belongs, amongs others, was the participation of social and artistic personalities of great international prestige, like Eduardo Galeano, Mario Benedetti, Atahualpa del Cioppo, etc. The second stage was realized on the 1st April in front the Sunday Market in the Street "Tristan Narvaja", a point of gathering of a great number of people, with the painting of two enormous murals alluding to the tragedy of the brother country and from the Republic University, panamanian ensigns were hung.
